Jervaulx Abbey to Cover Bridge, Danby Hall, Thornton Steward, return via Kilgram Bridge and Jervaulx Park – 7 miles

13 walkers convened at Jervaulx Abbey car park for Teresa’s walk. We set off in fresh, sunny spring weather and took the riverside path to Cover Bridge. Kingfishers were spotted near the Cover/Ure confluence along with masses of cowslips. After passing Danby Hall, we explored St Oswalds churchyard before taking a well earned coffee stop in Thornton Steward. We headed back via Kilgram bridge enjoying the sight of numerous lambs in Jervaulx Park.
