Richmondshire Ramblers organises regular walks within our spectacular local countryside. We regularly walk within the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors national parks as well as Teesdale, Nidderdale and the Howgills. We have a number of internationally renowned long distance trails which pass through our area. Our walks are mostly circular and within an hour's drive of Richmond. As well as walking regularly, we also organise occasional social events.
The Ramblers is dedicated to protecting footpaths and other places to which the public has a right of way or access on foot, defending the beauty of the countryside and promoting walking for all. It has more than 140,000 members in 54 Areas and over 450 local groups. Our group forms part of the South Durham and North Yorkshire Ramblers Area . As a member of the group you can also walk with any other Ramblers group, locally or nationally using Walkfinder.
