Redmire Station to Woodhall, return via Aysgarth Falls, Hollins House and Thoresby Lane - 12 miles.

Despite a forecast of rain mid afternoon, six members enjoyed the walk from Redmire to Woodhall via Oxclose Road returning  along the bank  of the  river Ure.  Along Oxclose Road tiny violets could be seen in the short, moorland grass. There were good views up Wensleydale with Addleborough  clearly visible. Spring flowers were more evident  along the river bank and  woodland edges  with wood anemone,  dog-violet, bluebell, cowslip, water aven  and wild garlic in abundance.

Fortunately the rain didn’t arrive until  after we got back to the cars!
