Langthwaite, Arkle Town, Foregill, Reeth Low moor , return via Arkle Beck. 8.5 miles

Nine members met at Langthwaite car park for our first walk after the autumn lockdown. Despite a wet start to the day , the weather was better than expected with only the lightest of showers and a fairly gentle (although cold!) breeze. It was a chilly day, with snow on the slopes of Calver. Visibility was largely good, with wintry views of Swaledale and Arkengarthdale. We ducked into Skelgate lane for a sheltered lunch stop before heading back down to Arkengarthdale. We returned via the footpath over the fields , retracing our outward route along Arkle beck back to Langthwaite .
