From Lofthouse  walking along Beggar Scar, Summer Stone Lodge and onto Woogill Moor via Tornet Barn. From there following Carle Fell Road to Scar House Reservoir. Then along Moor Lane into Middlesmoor and How Stean Gorge. The final section of the planned route goes to Ramsgill via West House Farm then across to Bouthwaite, returning to Lofthouse via Longside House - 14 miles

Eleven walkers set off from Lofthouse to complete the final section of the Nidderdale Way in lovely sunshine. Three of us completed the whole 14 miles, and the other eight  chose the shorter 10-mile route.
We had lunch overlooking Scar House reservoir  and enjoyed a well-earned drink  in the Crown at Lofthouse.
