Walking to Horse Pasture Wood, High Carl, returning via Apedale, Greets Hill and Grinton – 12.5 miles

Eight walkers met at Reeth for a circuit through Apedale. The weather was warm, but largely cloudy with a nice breeze. which kept us all cool A slow climb at the beginning  gave  us wonderful  views.  We joined the route of a motocross event on Blue Hill, but left the riders behind as we climbed up towards Morley’s Folly. We had a pleasant lunch stop at Dent’s houses and then made our way over Greets Hill before dropping down to Grinton. We arrived back at Reeth, just before the rain moved in!
