Walking from Keld along the Pennine Way to Tan Hill, returning via Roberts Seat, Ravenseat, and Cotterby Scar -11 miles
Despite most of southern England experiencing melt down temperatures, seven members and one guest enjoyed somewhat cooler weather whilst completing the Keld, Tan Hill, Ravenseat circuit. Although the views were a little hazy, Nine Standard Rigg and Great Shunner Fell were clearly visible. The Met Office weather forecast of overcast skies with a warm but cooling breeze followed by full sunshine at 4 pm was spot on. A brief stop at the Tan Hill pub followed by refreshments at Rukin Farm tearooms were most welcome.
