Walking from Carlton to Horsehouse, and Dead Man's Hill, returning via Swineside and West Scrafton – 10.5 miles

 Six walkers met at the Memorial Hall in Carlton on a very warm morning for a walk through Coverdale . The heat was alleviated somewhat by a nice breeze and we stopped for lunch in a shady spot  The day was exceptionally clear so we enjoyed spectacular views. We were very happy to celebrate a good walk with a well deserved drink at the Foresters pub on our return !
